About Us

The White Hat Society of Apache Junction, Arizona was formed on March 15, 2009.  Several people who met on a newspaper blog  met in person in response to a local recall/primary election.   One side (for the current city council) the White Hats were called clowns when  they got up and spoke before the council prior to the election by the recallers.

The seven people who met that day..  chose to bring both "parts" together and became a group to meet needs of the local community.

With the increasing numbers of those who lost their jobs, losing their homes, and all of the problems associated with the economy, and other factors, we chose to make a positive impact on our town.

Our plan was to sell T shirts with the rockin White Hat Clown .......and with the profits, donate to the local food bank, and several other non-profit agencies who are feeling the crunch.  We also plan to volunteer to assist in other areas, such as the library........as many families have cut their internet services to meet necessities.  This has caused a larger increase in persons using the internet with especially the students whose studies include alot of time on the computer.

We are continously looking for ways to also network resources to help residents find ways of getting the help they need.
