If the piece is floppy and you want it to be stiffer, the best thing to use is Future Acrylic Floor Wax. It will coat the beads and not destroy the thread. Using superglue or some other products will.
I have also used super hold acrylic hairspray. Some beads fade so I try and coat my projects with those so that they remain as bright and beautiful as first seen.
Body oils change all beads over time.
